I
have painted at times throughout my life but something
changed around 1997 when I was going through a deep spiritual
period.
Many times during prayer
or meditation I would get an inspiration to paint
a certain subject- but
when "I" started to do it, it would not turn
out the way I perceived it to be.... and I would become
frustrated.
After several unsuccessful attempts, I started to realize
that I needed to "empty" myself and let Spirit
work through me. This turned out to be also quite difficult
because
the ego always wants to get in and judge the painting
and try to fix it.
Gradually I was to become more "childlike and spontaneous"
in my painting and a different quality began to emerge.
The paintings began to become more alive and have a quality
of energy that was not there before.
After much deliberation I feel it is time for me to
show my work and have it available to the public at a
reasonable price. I am currently working on new paintings
and will be updating the web site as they become available.
